curriculum of SMK Muhammadiyah Abung Semuli is an operational curriculum
developed and executed by each educational unit. SMK Muhammadiyah Abung
Semuli's curriculum includes background, vision, and mission statements,
educational goals at the educational unit level, structure and curriculum
material at the educational unit level, an educational calendar, a syllabus,
and lesson plans.
In terms of my major which is Social Studies, my teachers use the books that was provided by the school. The books are basically provided for the students to learn their history, culture and traditions. The medium of instructions that was being use in teaching is their national language which is Bahasa Indonesia. The contents of the books are purely related to their country.
2. Teaching Plan related to Major
Teaching plan or making lesson plan in teaching is
one of the most important things that a teacher must consider. Lesson plan
serves as a guide to maintain the class momentum and be directed of what to do
next.
During my first week staying at Muhammadiyah Abung
Semuli, I’ve witnessed the commitment and dedication of my critic teachers. I
have two subjects being handled- Social Studies and English. In my Social
Studies teaching, Ms. Sri Apriyani Susanti is my teacher and on the other hand,
Mrs. Dian Suryani is my critic teacher in English.

In my second week of staying at school, my two-critic teacher taught me how to make and prepare a lesson plan. They give me a format or sample lesson plan that they used in the school. After that, both of them give me the topic that I will be going to discuss in class. In order for me to prepare everything, I look for the books for my reference.
